I love snow and miss it. But I grew up in Vermont where snow is a part of life and doesn't hinder things much at all. Getting away from the snow was definitely not why I moved here.

I agree, that's why I moved out of Ohio (East of Cleveland in the snow belt). I moved here in early May of 2005, and the last weekend I spent in Cleveland (last weekend of April), we got 18" of that crap. I've dealt w/ enough to last me a lifetime. I usually still see it when I go up there for Christmas, which is the only time I can stand it, but only a little bit.

I admit I grew up in the south but lived the past few years in Canada. I thought I would hate winter and infact found out I loved it. Never bought a good winter coat and never felt better! I was shocked LOL. So I do think I will miss those 4-6 ft snow banks and wintery cold nights. I must be sick

If you miss snow, go up to Asheville, Blowing Rock, Boone, Val Crucis or Banner Elk in the winter. Sometimes you will see snow as early as the Wooly Worm festival in Banner Elk.

I won't miss the snow, or the ice, or the shoveling or the plows or the sub freezing temperatures....Bring on the sun and the warmth for me!

I love snow, but only at Christmas. When it turns into slush, when it won't STOP, when I have to drive in it, then I don't care. Like Ani, I'd just go to where it is, if I need a fix.

Being from Boston, I miss snow.......like a rash.

Good riddance. I hated shoveling that crap (especially off the roof), driving in it, fighting for parking spots, the battle over "saved" spots. We never ever got a day off work so you had to make it there no matter what.

Its fun when you're a kid but it's all downhill after that

We see snow here once in a while. My first winter here was Dec 2004. My kids were so excited to see snow outside and by the time they put their snow suits, hats, gloves, boots and scarves on and went outside it was gone. They came back crying because someone took the snow away.

That kind of snow is just enough for me. I don't miss the up to 2 feet that would fall that I would have to shovel off my driveway and reshovel every time the plows came down the street.

In a word...YES I do miss snow. I love winter, and I loved when it snowed here this year, granted it was only a dusting, but I enjoyed it. I hope Charlotte gets buried this year so my kids know what it;s like to go sledding and build snowman etc etc.

Well, hopefully we won't be here to see it!!! Charlotte get "buried".....OK, whatever you want (hummmmmm)! Actually, you need to live in Colorado where we did. You would definitely get "buried" there during one of their blizzards!!!
