Relocating to the Charlotte area sometime in the next three months, and looking for some suggestions for apartment complexes, will rent for a year or so. Any feedback would be appreciated, also, I am moving there alone, in my early 50's, according to my son, Ballantyne area would be an excellent place for me, need to be relativley close to the airport since I will be a travellin man doing consulting work. Thanks Y'all....

There are many options for apartments in the Ballantyne area...I would be happy to send you an apartment guide that details them, and take you to them when you are in town. Feel free to PM me

Hey, south.charlotte&union.
Looks like I'll need that guide too. Can you send it over? I think you already know what I'm looking for.

Thanks!

Well, the Hickory job fell through, which in the end worked out for the better. Actually, my daughter graduates this May, and my son has graduated from UNCG, in 2002, thank yo for asking...Anyway, looking now top relocate to Charlotte by this summer, Ballantyne sounds like a great spot for me, close to the airport since I will be travelling quite a bit. South.Charlotte&Union is nice enough to be sending me an apartment guide for the area. Thanks for the reply, see y'all soon.....

Ballantyne is nice, but I wouldn't call it close to the airport..

You might want to consider Steele Creek if that is important to you. You should also know there are a surplus of rental homes available in Charlotte... which in my opinion are a lot better than an apartment.

I'd say Belmont is a great place to live if you simply want access to the airport. Beautiful town and 10 minutes with virtually no traffic most of the day. Great downtown with good bars and restaurants.

I would avoid Ballantyne if you want quick access to anywhere other than the intersection of Ballantyne Commons Pkwy and Johnston Road.

Rents are cheap everywhere- I'd look in rentals around Southpark if I were you. Ballantyne stinks in my opinion.
