Let's go the movies!
Any one want to go to the movies?
Regal Stonecrest 22 on Rea Road @ 485
Dinner and a Movie.
I like going to AMC 22 Carolina Pavilion during the day.
A nicer theater. Lunch and a Movie.

Friday night I'm going to be standing in the LONG line for Dark Knight at the Regal. I personally don't like the Regal that much, too many little kids driving their parents 100,000$ cars around blasting rap music lol.

I hate the whole movie-going experience anymore. Too many idiots yapping, playin with their cel phones. I tend to wait for the DVD and go the home theater route myself 95% of the time.
Charlotte needs a nice, upscale movie theater that keeps out the riff-raff (or, is there something like that here already?)

I'm tellin' ya...try the Northlake Mall AMC theater in off hours...like a weeknight (except Friday). Number one, the seats are the larger plush kind, and number two, it's only $5 to get in during non Friday-Sunday days and before 4pm on those days too.

Well there's the Ballantine Village, but they only show independant films.

Muvico will be opening next year at the epicentre. MUVICO - The World's Premier Movie Experience
Last time I went to AMC 22 at on South Blvd it was awful. People talking during the movie, talking on cell phones, kids crying and screaming, etc. I do like BV Theatre and the retro series they do, plus it's close. Regal Stonecrest is my next favorite. The digital projection in the theatre is way better than any home theatre. The prices are high, but they have a good loyalty program and they have discounts in the entertainment book which you can use at the box office. Also, you get extra points on the rewards card by getting a remote device and reporting any problems, such as cell phones, film quality, or piracy. Arsyley Cinemas have $5 shows for the first show each day, even on weekends. And finally, Imax Dome theatre at Discovery Place is good, but expensive. We will be seeing the new Batman flick there.

They also have a great retro series and they do occasionally show pictures from major studios.

I've been doing "Thursday Movie Nite" with friends. I guess I'll wait for Dark Knight to appear on Blu-Ray in a couple of months! My popcorn is great, a lot cheaper, and there's none of the loud kids to deal with!

You can buy the tickets now for Dark Knight. The 12:01 show at Imax on Thursday night/Friday morning is sold out. There are some movies that a home theatre cannot repliacte. Dark Knight should be one of them.

Love the movies. Hate Stonecrest. It's like a zoo. I also like the Pavillion 22.
