Default Thinking of relocating to charlotte

Hello,
iam a 30 year of african american married woman with 3 small children. My husband and i are really thinking of relocating to charlotte by the end of next year from queens, ny. We are looking to buy our first home. Can someone please tell me where is the best place to move. We are looking to pay no more than 180k. We're looking for a family friendly neighborhood and a mix of race. Can someone also tell me where can i find jobs in social services since this is our line of work here in ny:d.

All of Charlotte is full of 'Best Places'. Honestly, it's too broad of a question. You will need to find a job first, then look at the surrounding neighborhoods and pick one that you like.

First, post your resume on Monster. That's the first step.

Thanks....... Do you know if the job market is booming for social work. Are there many group homes or mental health agencies?

I would not say those fields are "booming", no. And pay will not be great. Better investigate the job prospects and be sure you can get one before you make definite plans to move, okay?

I wouldn't say anything was booming right now. I totally agree with Loves (as usual).

If you post your resume on Monster, you might get some employment agencies contacting you, then you'll get a feel for what's going on here right now. You might get lucky or it might take time. In any case, job first, then move. In this market, taking a risk and moving without a job first is not wise.
