Free public shredding event tomorrow near UNCC
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and Charlotte City Council member Michael Barnes will sponsor a public shredding event Saturday in the University City area.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Smokey Bones BBQ and Grill, 8760 J.M. Keynes Blvd. The public will be able to bring their sensitive and confidential papers for shredding. In addition, CMPD officers will be on hand with brochures and other information about identity theft.
