Will my allergies be better in charlotte?
I am moving to charlotte soon. I live in dayton, ohio (called sinus valley instead of miami valley) and suffer terribly from enviromental allergies. Does anyone know if it will be easier on me in charlotte? Just curious.
Thanks.

Allergies are really bad here. My husband moved from up a few states up and never had any issues and has horrible allergies and sinus issues for the 7 years he's been here. I've lived her all my life and had horrible allergies forever.

I've lived here for about a year and my allergies are still the same, however they do tend to get really bad at the beginning of spring, all those pine trees and poller. Ugh!

You'd probably be better off somewhere like AZ.

Hate to go with the majority, but they will most likely be bad. We moved here from No. Va. and my husband suffers horribly pretty much all year (he's only been to the ENT once - that was at least 4-5 years ago). Mine are not that bad, maybe once a year for about a week, usually February-April timeframe, twice in the 10 years we've been here I've lost my voice (the family loves that). The links in one of the previous posts will help you. Now, not all people have the problem. The Dr told my husband that he had a "sensitive nose" and I'm sure there are drugs he could be taking, but he won't go to the Dr.

I am a native. Had terrible allergy problems all my life - til I moved to Kansas City. Enjoyed years of a respite. The moment I moved back here . . . daily meds. This area is a veritable allergy lab's delight - we have so many various plants/molds/fungi . . . Sorry to be negative but no, your allergies won't improve.
The only thing I am allergic to that is NOT here is tumbleweed, Hee Hee.

There are allergy shots (immunotherapy) if you have really bad allergies...
