Hey guys. So I need some personal recommendations for a dog groomer around S. Charlotte. I have a yorkie/chihuahua mix who is in desperate need of some grooming (my vet even commented on it, yikes!!). Since we moved down a couple of months ago I took her to Frank and Peg's on South Blvd. I loved them but their groomer only works certain hours during the week and I need to be able to get her in on Saturday. I used to take her to PetsMart but have heard horror stories about little dogs being killed there so they are out. Pretty much I am looking for some place that isn't too expensive but treats your dog like their own. Also my yorkie can be quite a handful so looking for groomers who are patient and can keep her calm.

Any recommendations would be great! Also if you had a horrible experience I wouldn't mind hearing where to definitely NOT go! Thanks!!!

We have used Best Friends in Pineville and Razzle-Dazzle (which I think just moved to 521 in Pineville?) Razzle requires a little planning ahead for an appointment.

Best Friends is good. Also Petsmart has been REALLY good the last few times.

We have a maltese and they even called to find out exactly how to cut him. Of course this was after I tried explaining but we needed to get the fiance involved for clarification

Yep, spa 4 paws is great too. We used to go there but it's a little too far from where we are now.

Thank you for all the info! I currently have an appointment set up at Classic Grooming uptown. Anyone heard of them? They are a little pricey ($45 base price for toy dog and then $30/hr for dematting) but the man on the phone sounded super nice and they use hand dryers with no heat..... But $30 total at spa 4 paws is sounding pretty good.. i'm just not sure how far Waxhaw is from me in South Park area?!??

Yeah, that would be a drive. Especially with the traffic and work going on down Providence right now.

Well I did call Spa 4 paws and they said would probably be $30-$33 for my dog so I made an appointment with them for Saturday. After mapquesting it looks like it will take about 30 mins. It will be worth it to save some $$ and get a good cut. Thanks again for all the suggestions!
