My neighbor told me that the family who experienced the fire on July 27 is in need of donations. Does anyone know what they need, or how we can get items to them?

Default House fire in Berewick

Hey Coastalgirl-
I live in berewick and wasn't even aware of a fire!
Ditto if anybody knows what they might need, but does anybody
know in which village?

it was in the MI section, on Trailmoor Rd. I read on the news site that everyone got out and was safe, but someone told my neighbor that nothing is salvagable and they need donations...we are watching email to see if the manor house girls send something out.

This fire occurred a week before we moved to Berewick last July 2008. I am astonished that the house is not yet finished as of March 2009! The structure remained, so the insides needed to be gutted and replaced. Heck, I have seen many houses built from the ground up in the last 6-7 months, but this house just sits and plods along.

Perhaps there is some dispute with the insurance company. I can't imagine what the hold-up is, and I feel really bad for the family who has been displaced for so long.

Sandy
