26 minutes today and I left at 7:59am. Whether it's gas or just summer traffic, I'm lovin' it!

Plaza Midwood to uptown -- 5 minutes, 10 at most -- tank of gas every few weeks. Need to try biking, since it's only about 2.5 miles.

I'd love to be able to bike to work, but it would be hard for me to "bike" a customer to lunch....maybe I'd need to invest in a bike w/a banana seat.....

Are they still around??

You could get one with those big round pegs! Of course they'd have to stand for the whole ride, but if you rode them around 277 the sheer adventure might make it worth it!

From my bedroom to my basement - well, it usually takes about one minute, but I've experienced delays because of children blocking my path.

Also, I have a tendency to open the refrigerator door in the kitchen on the way to the basement, which can almost double my commute time. I'd say an average of one minute is about right - but I've gotten to the basement in as quickly as about 20 seconds. But because of children and fridge, once in a while it takes up to seven minutes!

You'll all hate me for this. My office is only 3.7 miles away so excluding the stop at daycare (also along the route) my commute is 5 minutes. I even cut through a neighborhood avoiding Independence Blvd.

My commute used to be 5 minutes but I would rather live 20 miles away than get robbed at gunpoint.

Like some of the others, you will hate ME even more...I walk from the bedroom, through the kitchen for coffee and back to the far end of the house to the home office. I would say, if I stop for coffee, 2 minutes. If not, 30 seconds!

But, hubby works some uptown and some in huntersville. From the Mt. Island area it takes about 20 minutes to huntersville and about 10-15 uptown. The uptown, however, ends up being 25 by the time he makes rounds in the deck, finds a spot and walks 2 blocks to his office...THEN up the elevator!
