But at the end of the day, I don't care who's right. I still drive 74mph with the windows on the interstate...we're probably talking pennies here...

Southern girls do not like to glisten while riding in a car. Therefore, we like A/C.

There is one exception to this. Convertibles. When in a convertible, glistening is sexy, especially if you are wearing Jackie O sunglasses and you look like Salma Hayak or Cameron Diaz.

Too bad 90% of those girls in convertibles are Monets...they look great from a distance until you get up close and see all of the botox!

or Faraway boys

Oh, my, now I have heard it all! I will remember this . . . and yes, I have seen my share of "Faraway" people, LOL!!!!

Of course, there are days I would rather be far away from my own mirror, but we won't go there . . .

DH takes the train in from South Blvd. now. I make sure to run several errands while our instead of just one. I am driving much less.

This is true. Drag force is proportional to the velocity squared. A small increase in speed contributes to a significant increase in drag force.
