Have you considered the Mountain Island Area. It is a booming area. I bought a house there 6 months ago for 155K and one just sold near me for 170K . It is the hidden gem in Charlotte limits. Once 485 comes through (March 07 to Brookshire) Houses will go thru the roof.

Default Mountain Island Lake

Riverbend near Mountain Island Lake is a awesome neighborhood. 15 mintues to Downtown, barely traffic. 25 minutes to Ballantyne. No traffic. I drive 80 mph the entire way to Ballantyne.

Next booming area in Charlotte.

Hey, please slow it down to at least 60 on that road, some of the rest of us drive it too and would not like to meet you by accident

If anyone could give us some feedback on these areas or suggest any other areas that they think would fit the bill we would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks for your help.

We just moved to Mount Holly from Gastonia. We love our quiet community. Belmont is up and coming and a little pricier but they do have more summer events for the community.

Gastonia is 20-30 minutes away from Charlotte, depending on traffic. Our old house is for sale if you are interested. (We moved to be closer to our grandchildren.) Our old home is about 2 miles from Interstate 85 and the mall.
