Transplants - Where did you move from?
Just thought it would be interesting to see where all of the Charlotte area transplants came from, and maybe some thoughts on the changes you encountered. I came from Alabama, so not so much of a change, other than running water

then, Meridian MS, Cherry Point NC, Jacksonville, NC, Beaufort SC, and then to Charlotte, Charlotte is very, very different from Chicago...and, really all of the other places, too. I often say that I experienced a couple of culture shocks; first the difference between city life and country life, secondly, the difference between northern customs and southern customs and thirdly, being around Americans since I grew up around people from all over the world and very few Americans.
