Where do YOU wash your car?
I heard that automatic car wash brushes damage car finish. Is there a hand car wash anywhere in Charlotte? I did not wash my car since I moved here 2 months ago and it's starting to show.

Even the "touchless" car washes are hard on your vehicle's finish. The chemical detergent is way too harsh. I don't know of any specific auto detailers in you area.

I usually just go to the coin operated do it yourself places. I just pack up my bucket, wash mitt, towels and all my other cleaning products and head there. I usually rinse the car real well until the times expires, wash and than feed the machine to rinse. Just don't use the brushes they provide as they will more than likely scratch the you know what out of your car.
It would be nice to do it at home but the water pressure is kind of lousy so I would just rather feed the machine $3-$4 and be able to power wash a lot of the grime off.

I've been going down to a place called Lanier's off Lancaster Hwy for over a year now. Even when I can wash at home I still go down there. I take everything with me and use the sprayer and oxygen free water rinse. Cost me $4 in quarters for about an hours worth of work.

Wow, I see a lot of you do it yourself. How about girls? Have husband/BF do it?

I wash my car in the driveway. In Monroe, we have no water restrictions, so it's not a problem. I've never trusted anyone but me washing my car!
