I live in BOTH of those low income housing areas.

Actually, I don't completely agree with you, sorry.

While Westinghouse right at I77 until you reach S. Tryon is not attractive and all ugly businesses, once you cross S. Tryon I like riding down Westinghouse and seeing all the international flags flying on all the different international companies

Westinghouse is just the top of the zip code. It stretches down toward Lake Wylie and has some really nice neighborhoods.

Also I will echo your sentiments: uptown is very nice and probably as safe (if not safer) than the 'burbs of Charlotte. One more thing I will mention is that surrounding counties (Union, Cabarrus, Iredell) have lower taxes than Mecklenburg, so be sure to figure that into your budget.
That is what I read in an article in the CLT Observer about not being able to widen the Southside until the whole Loop is finished. That is fair.

I would personally never live in Union, Cabarrus or Iredell. Way to far out for me. People who live that far out usually don't even enjoy what Charlotte has to offer. How many times do people that live that far out come into the city unless they work Uptown?

Nice areas but out there!

AMEN!

No need for anyone to make a statement like the one that was made when that person has hardly ever been to that area or a very small part of 28273!

Such a harsh statement.
