Can anyone tell me where I can find some decent furniture stores here in Union County? I am having a hard time finding a cherry wood kitchen table and I feel like I've looked everywhere! I've been to every store on Carolina Place Parkway as well as Ashley, Rooms to Go, Sofa Express, etc. Any suggestions would be great!! TIA!

There is a place in Waxhaw that we were referred to. I haven't been there personally though, Factory Outlet World Inc. I can't seem to find a website on them either. If you go let me know if you are able to find what you are looking for. Also Hickory has huge furniture stores if you don't mind a little drive.

Factory Outlet moves its items very quickly, if you go one day it is not likely to be there the next, only open 3 days a week.

Major mart in hickory open 7 days aweek hickory furniture mart over 1,000,000 sq ft

Well, I have a few suggestions for you...but they are not in Union County. Although they are not large furniture chains...I have done pretty well price-wise and with locating items at the following stores.

http://www.tinsleysfurniture.com/ (Rock Hill, SC)
http://www.tyndallfurniture.com/ (Charlotte/Pineville, NC and a new location in Fort Mill, SC)
http://www.berrysfurniture.com/ (Rock Hill, SC)

Good Luck to you!

and by chance...if you do happen to go to Tyndall and find something...send me a PM...and I might be able to save you a few dollars

I went to Furniture Outlet World for the first time this weekend. Overwhelming. A lot of different styles for every decor. But Flyingscotsman is right, furniture was flying out the door as we were there and we were only there 45 min. So inventory is always changing. But sometimes that is a good thing. If they don't have it one week, try the next week. Another place I have had good luck is Cross Creek on Rt 321 in Granite Falls. It is a little far, above Hickory heading towards Boone. But it is two floors and large. A lot to choose from, and prices are competitive against Hickory Furniture Outlet. One last place is Bonita Furniture Galleries. I got the Attic Heirlooms coffee table and two end table for $400, price of one coffee table at other places. Again they are hit or miss also. Hope this helps.

Default Furniture

Try Furniture Row Outlet on Independence Blvd. I just bought my kitchen table there yesterday, and I have also been to all the stores you mentioned and more. I also went to the Furniture Place in Waxhaw that was mentioned. That place was interesting, but very strange to me.

Also at the Factory Furniture Outlet you have to deliver it yourself and its a hit or miss on what they have when.

You should try all of the Consignment 1st stores. There are locations in Matthews, Pineville, University...just check out the website you'll see all of the locations. They probably carry over 50% of new market samples from Hi-Point. They have alot of nice furniture, but is moves quickly-it's the kind of place you have to just go often to see what's in stock. Good Luck!
