Charlotte Recognizes Army Service Men and Women 8/13 at CMGC (high school, military)

Just got this email, but I can't find any news source for it...figured I'd pass it along to the folks here in case anyone is interested.

The City will be hosting a community event honoring the service of our Army soldiers and veterans on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 10:00 in the Meeting Chambers off the CMGC Lobby. The Secretary of the Army, Pete Geren, Mayor McCrory, Charlotte City Council members and elected officials from across the region, plus many top Army generals will be in attendance. There will also be recognition of the employees (and their families) who have been called to active duty or serve in the Guard and Reserve. The event will last for about an hour and will be followed by a reception in the CMGC lobby.

There will be increased security in CMGC for this event, plus lots of activity on the CMGC Plaza and Lobby area, including music by the Army Band. The event is open to the public...

Now the strange part...I had a dream last night that I was back in high school in JROTC and met a General for some reason. Weird....twilight stuff!

Does CMGC stand for Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center? Just wanted to clarify.
