You can Google it, but the town is decorated as such, and there are lots of German restaurants. It is quaint, and my kids love it.
At these times, a weekend there is fractionally cheaper than a weekend in Munchen.

After I get settled I need to go to Northern GA to do research on some ancestors who were there, having moved from PA & DE to NC in the 1760s & on to GA after the Regulators. I'm hunting for information on some things that happened during the Revolutionary War. I think documentation still exists & may be in Augusta, if not there, Atlanta. That looks like a great stop-off. In my case, my maternal grandfather's family traces back to PA Dutch, although they went to the Shenandoah Valley & on to Ohio & Indiana.

I've never been a big fan of the cold mayo. based potato salads, either.

Bacon grease works wonders........
