is a comercial truck disrespectful in a cemetary?
well, i drive to charlotte 5 days a week for fed ex from atlanta, my route is about to change and i wont be comming up there anymore. i would like to visit my parents grave in the next couple of weeks. so is it disrespectful to drive into a cemetary w/ a comercial truck? i would be bobtailing (that means no trailer attatched to truck) or should i park somewhere else and walk in, what would yall do?
the cemetary belongs to northside baptist church off of sugar creek and 85 i know thats not the best of areas for me to be parking my truck and walking in, alot has changed in that area of charlotte since i lived there as a kid. any ideas?

If your employer doesn't mind, I don't see anyone else minding either. I might even think it was funny if I was there, that FedEx really does deliver anywhere!

That is kinda funny!
My question would be Mercedes or Fedex truck you would be there for the same reason so what's the difference? I am sure the site receives deliveries etc I doubt anyone would really say anything/care. I wouldn't unless your sitting inside the truck reading a paper with the engine running while I am having a moment.

I live across the street from a cemetery and I do not think that it is disrespectful whatsoever. When you feel the need to visit just visit.
What I personally find disrespectful is people who walk their dogs and let them do their business on graves and in the cemetery in general.
I wonder sometimes how some of these people would like it if someone else let their dog lift it's leg on "their" family members stone.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Well, the only problem would be if there is a processional taking place - for graveside service or burial. The truck may block the way and cause a problem. I would just be sensitive about that - parking where you are not going to cause a problem should others suddenly show up for a graveside service.
It is not disrespectful so much as a potential inconvenience (for both you, if you have to quickly move the vehicles and for mourners, if they need access).
You go see your parents' grave and just keep an eye out in case you need to move your vehicle.

Your parents won't care what you drive to get there. Don't worry if a stranger wants to have a problem with it, unless you are blocking a funeral procession, as Ani said.
Oops! guess that shows what a Yankee I am.

Naawwww - that is not Yankee!!! Going to visit one's parents' gravesite . . . as you said - who cares what vehicle one shows up in. I find it very touching and respectful to want to say "goodbye" for a while b/f moving on to another location. People who get hung up on such things are pretty petty, and I totally agree. Who cares what they think. The only concern should be blocking a procession.

As long as the roads can handle it. The is a rougher area and not sure how big the GY is, but many of the ones couldn't handle the size, even the weight not so much the height. as far as how it would look, I wouldn't worry about it.
