Mimi's Cafe
I noticed that a restaurant called "Mimi's Cafe" is opening near Northlake Mall. Seems like a cross between a diner and Bob Evans. Does anyone have any experience with dining at one?

They have one in St. Louis. I've been there a couple of times. It's good.

I don't personally, but the wife demands that I eat there when it opens! She's been and says it's good.

Yes!! There is one in Greensboro we used to go to - for brunch only, though. It is the best family friendly brunch place we have found. The waitresses bring a little kid plate of oranges and cheerios right when you sit down along with the requisite crayons, etc.
The food is pretty good too... but the big draw for us was being able to take our then 2 year old daughter without sticking out / causing a scene.
Not sure what it's like other times of the week... but I wouldn't go if you don't want to be around kiddies!

They had them in Phoenix, I enjoyed them. Home cooking is how I would describe it. Check them out.

My girlfriends and I would meet once a month at Mimi's in L.A. It is ok. It wasn't my favorite place, but the atmosphere is nice (French style), and they do serve a large variety of cream based dishes.

Yes, we have them in L.A. There is one near where I used to work, and I really like the food there.

I used to eat at the one in Cerritos, CA. It was very good. I remember getting their Turkey Burger which I didn't see on the menu when I typed in a University City zip.
