Having this information may help the landlord choose to rent to you and your family over someone else with a pet that does not have this type of information handy. Good luck to you!

That is a great idea for all pet owners!

Thank you!
As a dog owner myself, I understand how challenging it can be to find a place to rent that will accept my beagle mix. Creating a simple one-page resume for my dog has helped sway a landlord to my favor in the past - hopefully it will help the OP find a place to live so she can come here for her dream job.

I know. And frankly, I have to agree that pits can be very dangerous dogs, depending on both breeding and socialization.
This dog may have some pit (the eyes) but if you really examine the body, especially shoulders, chest width . . . and that bottom jaw and ears . . . they are just not right for a pit. The dog looks more like a Staffordshire Bull Terrier than an American Pit Bull, to me, and Staffords are NOT like pits even tho they get lumped together. Staffords are great w/ children and are safe dogs.

Thank you all who are being so helpful!! He is a great dog, whatever he really is. He loves playing with other dogs, he is very friendly towards everyone he has ever met. I would not keep him if he was a dangerous animal, I would not want to put myself or anyone else for that matter in danger. Again, thank you all who are being sooo helpful!!

Your dog does not look like a pit to me and I would think a good vet would agree with that analysis. Do some more research and see if you cannot truly refer to your dog as a different mix. I think the idea of a doggie CV is great, LOL!!! Shows you are a responsible owner.
I think you should be able to rent in any apartment complex that allows dogs. Truly, those ears . . . no way that could be mistaken for a pitbull!!!!!

Could he be a mix of Boston Terrier/French BD? We have a Boston and his breeder also was raising French Bulldog which yours' looks like and he appears to have brindle coloring which is very common in both breeds ...our Frankie the Boston is black/white and brindle and we've had many people inquire if he was a pitbull as they walk a wide circle past us!
Good luck

Smalltown - I am soooo glad you weighed in - see post #3 above - I said Boston Terrier/French BD, too. I honestly don't see that dog as a pit.

You could do a few things, since your time frame is short, you might be able to find a temp place, unless of course that causes you to move furniture twice. Craigs list is a good option. I know there are some apt companies that will accept certain mixes. You should be able do a sort of those, but they will be far and few in between. Because of your short time frame if you need something short term, PM me as well, might know of something.
The dog itself is very much mutt like. It's ears aren't bit. As Small says he looks French BullDog like. But places may not care.
And to those who hate the dog, its the owner. A well trained pit bull is safer than a reckless beagle.

Very true. Training a dog right goes a long way!
OP, you might find some additional pointers for your housing search in the Dog forum - have you checked it out? http://www.city-data.com/forum/dogs

Help Needed
Please call the Meridian Apts. in Indian Trail which are in Union County,
704-243-0444..
We stayed there while waiting for our home to be built because we also have a dog. There were dogs of all sizes and weights so I would check with them.
I am sure you are a great owner and love your dog like most of us do, no matter what breed it is!
The apts. seem to be a place were a lot of people stay while they are looking for a home or waiting for their home to be built so they do have leases that are for 6 months or more.
Good Luck.
