So im going to be in Charlotte tonight untill Sunday. The wether forcast everyday is thunder storms, is this normal summer weather or my bad luck.

It's normal, but they are usually late afternoon/evening thunderstorms that are isolated (if they even occur at all) and usually last no more than 30 minutes.

Don't let a little rain spoil your BBQ. Most pass quickly and sometimes the sun is still shining when the rains hit.

Going by your name it looks like you are from the NYC area so you should be used to these kinds of forcasts. I know here if we have high temps and high humidity, chances are they will say chance of thunderstorms. I wouldn't sweat it!
