Does anyone have a Freshman at AKHS?

I thought that the Freshman total they spoke of was around 400 something when we had the Open House meeting earlier in the year.

My Freshman came home yesterday and said that they were told at a meeting that there were now close to 650 Freshman!!!!!

At the Open House last Thursday they had said close to 600.

Seems like AK has an enormous Freshman population!!!!

Wonder what the Freshman count is at Prov High and South Meck.

Can AK hold anymore Freshman?????

I'm here in the other end of Meck, I heard that 2nd year Mallard Creek High Schools' freshman class is well over 500. I have a feeling it's because it's a new High School. Would be interested in seeing freshman numbers at other high schools to see if it's just that many more kids all together, or just the new schools. The first graduating class from Mallard Creek (6/2009) is just over 300.

Smile Freshman

That is a lot of kids at Mallard Creek.

Ardrey Kell is now 3 years old.

I agree, it would be interesting to see the Freshman totals at the other High Schools.

In some schools they are bigger! In high growth areas like Ardrey Kell and Mallard Creek new schools will be overcrowded, until the next schools are finished.

Cool new schools

Do we know when they will even have another High School in the Ballantyne area?
Currently we have a number of Elementary schools and then only 1 middle school and the 1 high school.

They need to start building another middle and high school.
