This is who I have used in the past. I purchased a Chrome bumper, rear tail light (the red thing), windshield wiper motor, and a radio knob for a little less than $250. I did not do anything but just stand there and look around. I even had my girls with me. We watched the big machines crush cars and stuff. It was kind-of neat. We had never seen anything like it before.
While we were there, one of the guys came in and said that someone had jumped the fence b/c they had stolen something. Apparently, it happens a lot, no one seemed really concerned. While we were there we completely felt safe.... and no dogs.. big, burly men, but no dogs. The owner is the guy who helped with the transaction, and he was really nice.

This place is right off of Statesville Road right near I-85.

This is who I have used in the past. I purchased a chrome bumper, rear tail light (the red thing), windshield wiper motor, and a radio knob for a little less than $250. This is all for a Chevrolet Suburban. I had checked around and this was the best deal around at the time (other than going to pull-a-part and doing it myself - which was not an option for me). I did not do anything but just stand there and look around. I even had my girls with me. We watched the big machines crush cars and stuff. It was kind-of neat. We had never seen anything like it before.

Don't forget about eBay motors and sites like carpartsDOTcom. I've bought corner light assemblies from both and was pleased with quality and delivery.

I havent look into ebay motors but Ill check it out I automatically presume that they would have high shipping costs.

Im looking into replacing my electric antenna and possibly the motor to the passenger window, those would be small and relatively light so I might check out ebay motors but from the great recommindations above junk yards sounds like they are fun .. lmao .. and who knows what else I might see of interest.

Thanks for the tips everyone.

Unless you are mechanically inclined and have a repair manual, or just know what you're doing, I'd reccomend going to pull the part yourself. You get to see how it goes in and if you break it, oh well.

I've found some parts for my cars out there that aren't in production anymore and the aftermarket replacement was 10x more than what I paid at P-a-P. A lot of times, if you just need a few little bolts or something, they'll let you have them. I've had 3 trips where they just waved me on and said don't worry about it.

Just remember, you do have to pay to get in the Pull-Apart lots.

Also, FORGET finding any decent Mustang parts out there. They get stripped before most cars out there.

Default Are there any other you-pull salvage lots in Charlotte??

Any others aside from Pull-A-Part Junkyard? I live in SW Charlotte, I'm hoping there's something closer.

That will take so doing. You wont find it at Pullapart. There are several junk yards within an hour of charlotte that has alot of the older stuff. Several in Denton NC

I concur pull a part in Charlotte probably will not have it. They have alo of 90's and 2000 cars.
I was trying to think why I created this thread. I think I had a busted tail light that needed replacing.
I highly suggest pull a part if you need something replaced. Dont have a mechanic at dealer shop get the part or you are going to pay to much.
I thought they was really good in their prices. You can look up your car year and model on their website and I like how the cars are put up on cylinder blocks or something so at least for me I dint fear snakes Pull-A-Part
