Does anyone know if there are any reasonably priced corporate apartments within 15 miles of the South Park area that offer short term leases? I need to find an apartment for someone who will only be in town 3 or 4 months until a project starts up. Thanks for any info you can give me. I'm struggling here.
I know of two seperate people that were living in corporate housing in 1420 Magnolia off of Park Rd. I don't know lease terms/pricing, etc, but it is probably worth a shot!
carolinablue - have you stayed at that studio plus? wow. no. i have stayed there, and i would NOT recommend it to anyone else unless they really did not have any other options. the only reason i was comfortable there is b/c i was staying with a dog and a gun. (although the staff was really nice.) it is, um, sketchy, at best.
austinsmom, maybe try:
1. plantation park apts in ballantyne...they used to have corporate apts.
2. strawberry hill apts in southpark...i have heard that they have corporate apts.
3. alexander place apartments in southpark...their ad says they have corporate apts.
4. the pointe apts off tyvola...they used to have corporate apts.
just google these apts with the apt name and "charlotte, nc" to find info.
also, if you haven't, you may try to search this forum...i think i remember reading some threads on corporate apts in the past.
I'm a resident at Strawberry Hill, and while I'm not sure if they have furnished corporate apartments available, I do know that they offer short-term leases. And, I can attest to the apartments being in a nice area where I feel reasonably safe, even when DH has to travel.

Yes, but it was some years ago. I don't remember it being a bad place. I do recall it was rather dark at night back where its located. But that was the only big negative I recall. But I remember it was quite and well kept at the time. I suspose the OP would have to go check it out for themselves.
carolinablue - i'd say things have changed since you stayed there last. i actually just wrote a long post detailing some of the things i observed when i stayed there five months or so ago, but then i decided it probably wasn't a good idea to post in an open forum like this. i really don't recommend this hotel, though.
Thanks for all the info. We did decide against it. I appreciate all the help!
