I am 25 and a single parent of a 6 yr old son. My parents are planning a move from Staten Island NY to the Mooresville area and I am seriously considering going with them. My issue is employment as well as having some sort of social life...any information would certainly be appreciated!!

Ahhh...yet another NY'er . Pretty soon they are really going to have to rename this area there are so many of us. Mooresville is a wonderful town to raise a family but as far as a single social life you may want to consider more the Cornelius area (Birkdale or off exit 28) there is a little more night life and it is only about 15-20 min. away from Mooresville. You could always live in Mooresville and have your parents very close for babysitting and drive to go out. Anyway welcome to another fellow NY'er and good luck.

Now after I said that about the "big city",,I hope you follow your parents to Mooresville and get to know what a nice town this is.....I am an old fogie who lived just about everywhere...Queens, NY, Honolulu,Hi, Denver, Co, Sarasota, Fl...and now Mooresville , NC...it's my final resting place.
I know you are young and at the beginning of your life, but if you want that child to know what "honest, healthy and respectfull living is...come here.
I took my 3 kids back to NYC to show them where I grew up and what I had to go through....and they were so happy I got them out of there before they fell to the "law of the land" in that crime ridden city.
Come to Mooresville....if your parents play golf?...see Tom at the Mooresville Golf Course, and we can "chew the fat" about this nice town.
Hope to hear from you.........
