My wife now wants her own, but more than likely will be a slightly used 150cc model.
She is new to two wheelers so used and 150cc (goes 65 mph) will be plenty for her to get started and pass the motorcycle test.
I love my wife!

I have restored some older model Vespas (50s and 60s) but bought a 2008 model from Vespa of Charlotte.
As a 30 year motorcycle rider it is odd that I find the big Vespas so appealing - but they are so practical and nice.
Plenty of speed btw (80 mph), even though people assume all scooters are people who have had a DUI. LOL.

wife filled up with premium today @ $4.09. Car takes premium, but station was sold out of regular and midgrade anyway. I would rather just stop driving.

Well, it must be limited to the South. I just called my brother and he bought gas this morning in NJ for 3.349 a gallon! Beam my car up Scottie!

Talked to a friend in Rocky Mount late this afternoon: Diesel $5.09 @ I-95 all stations.

I spoke with my son in Edison NJ today and he paid $3.39/gallon (regular) on his way home from work. I think this phenomenon is limited to certain geographic areas. I do hope that someone in the government will check to see if overcharging is indeed happening. I understand that distributers need to make money, but this seem to me to be totally outrageous.

NJ gas prices still $3.29 for regular with no lines. Who caused all this craziness down there???

This is amazing. I had no idea about the governor's message, or the fact that a run on gas would actually produce NO GAS!!! Silly me...
As newcomers, we went to four different stations to get gas around 6-7 pm today. No luck. Then I get home and begin to read the stories on this board. Wish I had known yesterday that the shortage was somehow specific to NC or SC.
My mom in Philly says there are no problems there, but she heard something on the national news yesterday about a SC shortage. She did not think to call me b/c we never envisioned that gouging would mean actually NO GAS!!! Once again, silly me.
Oh well. Hopefully some gas trucks will get here soon and I will keep my eyes and ears open for news.
Can anyone explain why only the NC/SC gas deliveries were affected, and not the GA, VA, PA, etc?
thanks,
sandy
