I went to the gun show & all of the stations on Sunset Rd are out of gas. There were only two stations open in Pineville, the BP on the corner of Polk St & Hwy 51. It has regular for $4.29, $4.39 & $4.49/premium. BJ's is out of gas. The Exxon at the corner of Hwy 51 & Park Rd. S. is still open & has regular for $3.69.

I skipped to the last few pages, but as of last night, all of the gas stations in Cornelius near 77 (the Texaco, Cashions and Citgo) are out of gas. I work PT at a car dealership in Cornelius and we were having a hard time finding a gas station to fill up the cars being purchased. I am not sure where they eventually found some.
Luckily, I on Friday morning on the way to school, I stopped at the Hess in Mooresville where 21 and 150 meet. It was still $3.54 and I topped off because I knew it would go up (most of the places already had!). So, I am good for a week! Yay!

I thought about going hunting to see who does have gas but then I thought I would burn gas in doing so I decided not to.

Maybe others will check in . . . I am going to go out later today and run a few errands. If I find a gas station w/ gas, I will fill up one of the vehicles. I usually top them all off on Saturday. I never let my gas tank get under half full except when traveling. That is not b/c of a gas shortage. It is b/c of emergencies. W/ relatives in the area, I have been called upon after midnite to rush to the hospital (in other counties) and when that happens, you better have enuff gas to get where you need to go w/o worrying about that Empty light coming on.

When you see the station owners on the news, or see them quoted in the local papers, they are all quick to blame the consumer. This so called "gas shortage" was caused by our local 10cent media, and the greedy rats that own the gas stations. Friends of mine told me on Friday that many of the stations were forcing people to go inside to pay, more than likely to get foot traffic they will miss when they run out of gas; this made the lines worse on Friday contributing to the "panic." I hope, but don't really believe, the station owners will get stomped for gouging. You station owners out there should realize you dance because we say you can dance, not because you're anything special. If we want to shut you down, we simply don't buy anything at your stations. The fact that supply is always interrupted when we have problems in the Gulf means that we don't have enough refineries in the correct places. When you can't provide fuel AT ANY PRICE (you sell off like we see now) it's because our gutless, nutless elected officials won't push to get alternate sources of refined fuel. We should fire every damn one of them, but we don't.

If it wasnt so humid I could go further on my gas if I did not have to run the a/c. I just read 2 oil rigs was damage and they are still assessing the refineries
Disclaimer:
I did not start this hysteria . I just simply ask if the rumor was true.
We can assess by now that it is.

I got gas last night at the Sam's Club in Gastonia for 3.61 a gallon. They were out of preminum but still had regular unleaded.
