Cabarrus County Communities Relaxing Water Restrictions
Cabarrus County, NC (WBTV) - Several Cabarrus County towns are relaxing their water restrictions.
The county says recent rains have increased stream flows enough to allow people to start using more water, but the restrictions are not completely lifted. The reduced restriction go into effect on midnight Saturday.
The towns affected are Concord, Kannapolis, Harrisburg, Landis and Mount Pleasant.
On Saturdays people will be able to do the following things:
- Wash cars
- Water lawns with sprinklers, hoses or irrigation systems.
- Wash around houses with hoses or pressure washers
On Tuesdays & Saturdays people will be able to do the following things:
- Water trees, flowers, shrubs, ornamental plants and vegetable gardens with hoses
People can also:
- Install and activate irrigation services
- Fill swimming pools
Pressure washing businesses with the proper privilege licenses are allowed to operat
