We found a dog tonight and aren't sure where to call? Any suggestions? The animal control is closed. We ended up hooking him up to a leash in our front yard because I would hate for him to wander and get hit by a car or something. Can somebody tell me where we might be able to take him to see if he has a chip? TIA!
Any vet's office has the scanner. There might be a pet ER that you can take him to tonight. We have one listed under vets - It's actually called Pet ER.
Yes, he does have a red collar... brown & black colored. We think he's a boxer-mix, and a puppy or young-adult. Found him in Fort Mill... next to the Regent Park area. Could this be the same one?
Thanks Stew! I thought there was an dog ER in Pineville but it is just a Dr. office. Good thing I called in case my 2 ever need to go in for an er. I called the Charlotte Specialty and they said to bring him in tomorrow and they'd check for a chip. I have to call Human Society first to make sure they aren't open...apparently we need to try them first. I'm really hoping somebody calls from one of the signs we put up....this dog is just the cutest thing ever. He's curled up on our front porch on a sleeping bag. My heart hurts for him...
Good for you on taking care of the dog and not just ignoring it...XOXOXO from an avid animal lover. I would do the same and search to see if some family is missing him. If no one claims him, he'd be a SBD (spoiled brat dog) with my SBC. Keep us posted please
Just wanted to thank you for being so kind. I would hope someone would do this for me if my sweet doggie girl were to somehow get lost . . . Let us know what happens!!!
Can you post a picture of the dog???
