Does anyone know about why there are really low flying planes over Matthews for about the last 20 minutes or so (not the regular flight path)? It sounded like it was going to crash...but then we heard it again. I'm near Presby. Hospital in Matthews

One neighbor thought it may have been an F-15 flying around for the Charlotte season opener home football game? But we aren't really that close to the stadium...

Anyone?

I'm so glad you just posted! I am in the Olde Providence neighborhood and I heard a really loud jet sound. I was waiting for something to crash into my house! (Just a little paranoid with it being close to the anniversary of 9/11) I ran outside and saw 4 black jets fly by super fast. Felt like I was back in Bragg

Relax, you are not under attack!

This is SOP on a Panther's home game day.
They circle around the area until the exact time they need to fly-by the stadium.

Sometimes it is just a circle or two, but today they arrived early and circled for 20+ minutes.

I have been out in the driveway watching them (I am near the Arboretum).
AWESOME, if you ask me!
