Cabarrus County "Night Life"?
So part of the appeal of living here in Kannapolis is the peace and quiet... but is there any place around for those rare times my husband and I want to go out, have a drink, have a good time? Do we have to go all the way to Charlotte?
We're not looking for any place fancy (although we also don't want to go anywhere TOO sketchy), but we're wondering if there are any local bars, pubs, or pool halls around in the Kannapolis/Concord/Salisbury area. Someplace low-key to have a drink, maybe a jukebox or local band playing.
Any recommendations are appreciated!

There's a bar on Main Street in Harrisburg called three monkeys that has live music and pretty good food.

Hello Daomi, Welcome to Kannapolis, I hope all went well with your move.
This is the one thing I see that Kannapolis is lacking, on occassion my wife and I have gone to Ruby Tuesday's near the super Walmart for a couple of adult beverages, but they don't have a pool table. There is a sports bar in Concord it's a little south of Poplar Tent rd on 29 and it's called "1st rd draft" it's nothing fancy but they have pool tables.
HTH, BTW any luck with that teaching job?

Hi there....Afton Village right at George Lyles Blvd. off of I-85 has some really great places. The Wine Room is awesome, Max' Alley is sort of an "upscale" restaurant....there is a martini bar w/ great oriental foods as well as a really cool sports bar. I think all of them have outdoor seating as well (perfect for the fall weather coming up) and often times feature local bands.
Have fun

Thanks for the recommendations everyone! Hopefully we will find time amidst fixing up our house to go and check out a few of these places!
