In the Ballantyne area which do you prefer - Ardrey or the Reserve. Also any other neighborhoods in the immediate vicinity of these neighborhoods that you would suggest looking at? Price range of $325K - $425K.

The Reserve on New Town Rd? Thats definitely not Ballantyne, but will eventually be Marvin. It is a very nice neighborhood which is in the sought after Marvin School District. Check Hunter Oaks also.

Hunter Oaks! Great family-oriented community, great schools, well maintained neighborhood.
If I'm not mistaken, your taxes will be higher in Ardrey, since it is located in Meck County, while Hunter Oaks and The Reserve are in Union.

Default Suggestions other than Hunter Oaks

Thanks to everyone for responses. We are trying to find something within 15 minutes of Ballantyne. Any suggestions other than Hunter Oaks? We have already looked at many of the homes available in that neighborhood and have not found one that we are in love with (although some are very nice just not perfect for us).

Have you checked out Providence Downs, Marvin, Creek or The Chimneys at Marvin?

I'm not sure if you've looked in SC, but I saw an awesome community in Lancaster being built by John Wieland. Take Johnston Rd. south for a few miles, it's on the right. I don't recall the name, but I'm sure you can look it up on their website. It's a huge community.

I don't know much about the school system though, but I haven't seen you mention that that's important to you. The property taxes would be much lower in SC, so your price range might increase.

OH....and gas is much cheaper.

Not sure those subdivisions are in the OP's price range. They were looking for homes in the $325K - $425K range.
