Just got back from Festival in the Park with my 8 year old Daughter. She had fun, but it was very expensive. Rides were $1 a ticket, and most rides were 3-4 tickets. We enjoyed the magic shows, and the vendors, and the free cookie samples were very yummy (the same cookies that Jet Blue has). We didnt eat much, but Alex did have her first ever Strawberry smoothie, which she liked a lot.

Did anyone see that one booth of the airplanes, and cars made out of soda and beer cans?

I thought the art work was great but I couldn't help in back of my mind stop thinking of what the actual item was a soda can or beer can and he wanted 55 bucks for some of them..... I did the markup in my head and I probably gave him to much credit of fifty cents but he could have used someone else recycles etc...

The other part of me was thinking.... wouldn't you get more sales if you had a lower reasonable price For instance lets say he sold one in a hour at 55 but if he priced it at 25 bucks and sold 4 in a hour ....hmmm

I haven't yet been to the Charlotte Shout. I think that the Festival in the Park was a nice family event. Personally, other than just walking, it had nothing to offer me. I am not into arts and crafts, and the food was not very good. I had the worse Moe's BBQ sandwich I have ever eaten and may never eat there again. The fat and grease was horrible. The Orchestra played a poor choice of classical music on Thursday night. The park is very nice and the event is as well. Just not my cup of tea. The crowd was very nice too. One important note, I don't have children. If I did, it would have suited me more.
