Ok I am posting my little heart out today.

What can you all tell me about the concord area? tell me about schools, from grade school right through HS. Tell me about neighborhoods, shopping and how much homes go for...tell me it all...lol..spill your guts to me..and tell me if you have snakes...acckk..yucck...

I really want an area with outstanding schools, affordable and most important NO SNAKES!! yes I am a whimp and proud of it!!

PS. Unless you plan on living in the upper portion of the continent (North Alaska, Northern B.C, etc) you will find snakes everywhere.

I want to add a piece to this thread. What are the demographics in Concord? Especially the schools. Which area is more diverse Concord or Charlotte?

From my reasearch, concord has a hospital called Northeast medical center, and have an excellent reputation, i am considering work there.good Luck

I live in Concord and really enjoy it. LOTS of shopping/restaurant options, I-85 access, great schools (especially west Concord), very safe, good home prices. Would highly recommend. PM me if you want any specifics!

My family and I are looking into concord. We live in a town called Hollywood, Alabama. I live here all my life. population about 2,ooo. We have to go 10 minutes to go shopping. A real rural area. Looking to upgrade lol. Need something for the kids to do. We have two boys 7 and 12. Have to drive 45 minutes to really do anything. Please help good schools and good job oppurtunity. I work in a carpet mill making 11.79 My husband is a welder/fabricator. What would are chances be there?

I was just about to post a qustion about Concord too.....maybe someone here has seen the Riverwalk subdivision? Houses seem to be big and cheap (230K for 2900 sq ft, granite counters, tile floors, 5 bed 3 bath).
Is there a catch, the schools look good....

We looked there over the summer, we almost put a contract on a home inthe older section (2002)..I am glad we didn't there at the time was no amenities and some of the yards were not in great shape, I guess the builder/developer has plans for an HOA but there was not an active one. I am pretty sure it is the same community that I am thinking of. Can you see the racetrack from the yard??
