Looking for Self Car Wash
I live in Uptown and my car is way overdue for a good wash and vacuum. I'm not a big fan of the auto car washes and would prefer to hand wash. Are there any self car washes close to the Uptown area? And if there's one with a vacuum- even better! Thanks in advance for any information.

Sorry. The only ones I can think of off-hand are down near the state line. (Hwy 49 near Carowinds Blvd.)

One of the odd things about Charlotte that seem to be lacking is self car washes there is plenty in cities like Gastonia or Lincolnton . Cornelius has 1 Denver has 1 but I am like you cant find one in Charlotte

There is one in Pineville on Lancaster Rd. by the furniture stores. It's called Scrub and Scoot. I always liked that name

east 7th street out of town. 7th turns into monroe rd, and the self car wash is on the right

There is one on North Tryon near Easyway Drive. It's on the left going out of town.
Sugar Creek at The Plaza...Commercial Drive, I think.
Eastway and Shamrock Drive.
Monroe and Wendover, as listed before.
The only thing I'm concerned with is that most of the DIY car washes are not too good for your finish. If you use that scrub brush, you've got to remember that somoene before you probably used the same bruch on their engine or to try to get rid of gobs of dirt, etc.
Also, most of these things are not in the best of areas. While I doubt that anyone will mess with you, it is never a bad idea to pay good attention to your surroundings.
The best thing I can think of is to be buddies with someone who lives in an apartment complex with a car wash facility. There was one in south Charlotte that had the vaccuum and hoses. It was covered and pretty nice.
If that doesn't work out for you, or you're short of time, there's 1001 people that detail cars around downtown and N Charlotte.
