Because some of these people only have two vehicles in the family and both hubby and wife work in two opposite directions. Plus the particular "gas guzzler" as some call it is only one year old and cannot be traded. But did we have this problem last year when we bought the truck, NO! But if everyone who criticizes those who drive big trucks/SUV would like to help us out with trading for a smaller vehicle, by all means, I will take a handout.

I'm starting to worry if I attempt to go anywhere I might be in trouble.
At about 12 o'clock today we had drivers come back in saying that they got gas at Raceway at brookshire and 85. They said there were two tankers filling the tanks. I did post this earlier but it got caught up in the slinging match LOL I would give them a call before going if you have to come a long way.

Not sure about today, but yesterday at noon all of the stations off of exit 36 in Mooresville had regular gas......and no lines. Guess this only helps the people on the north side.

Just went out at noon today. In Fort Mill, all gas stations around 160 from Gold Hill are out of gas. I'm lucky I get to finagle (sp?) working from home so I can conserve what I have. Ani's right...stop judging people as to why people line up at the pumps...half full, quarter full, whatever. We don't know what people need gas for. Self-employed people who have to travel can't meet their clients on an empty gas tank...no clients, no income. Simple as that.

Cool Matthews

All streets in Matthews were at a standstill this morning at 9am due to a gas station having gas. I had to go the back streets to get to work.

Same at gas station on John Street and Hwy 51 intersection. Far right lane solid from Matthews to the gas station due to them having gas.

The Matthews Walmart gas station had lines all around it and a POLICE observation tower set up!!!!!

Drive home - gas station opposite Stonecrest had a solid line of traffic waiting to get gas. This line was blocking the lanes on Rea Road.

I have over 1/2 tank of gas and feel so sorry for the people who really do need the gas.

I sincerely hope this is over very soon because we have enough to deal with right now without angry mobs wanting gas!!!!

No one that I know of is filling up with race fuel except me. Oh & there are no limits on the race fuel pumps.

And you are still denying someone with no gas a chance to get some gas. The greed of topping off is only making it worse for everyone.

An no it doesn't matter if the other driver gets 15 or 60 MPG. It may be a man that requires a truck that gets 15 MPG to run his business.

Or do you even care about the other guy?

There's gas at the Exxon at the corner of Hwy. 51 & Carmel Rd. All three grades are available. I just saw a tanker pull out & there are cars lined up waiting.
