We're staying in. DH was able to get gas this morning and waited only 15 minutes. I saw 2 stations open later, both with lines, probably a 30 minute wait.

We are trying to conserve but will probably go out tomorrow. I work at home and run necessary errands on Friday (bank, groceries, etc...home the rest of the week) so Sat is my "I need to get out of the house for a while!!" day...LOL. DS has some shopping to do as well so we will at least be combining trips.

DH just sat in line 30 min only to be told cash only, he had $5. Real good so it looks like we are in since I need to get to work Monday and who knows when I will hit the jackpot again to be able to get in line and be the last one before they rope it off. Although I may just end up staying up monday, and searching for gas since I am legitimately on empty and have to fight the hoarders.

So have you all changed plans b/c of the gas debacle????
I havent had issue of running out of gas or hunting for gas since Murphy USA has always had gas and I have collection of 3 cents off gallon coupons plus if I use my card I can get 3 cents off without the coupons

I think it who you are in the buisness in what station seems to have gas. Every mom & pop and middle easterner seems to be last from what I have been viewing

I've had no issues finding gas either because I've been running race fuel in all my cars & the price per gallon tends to make most folks blanch.

I just got back from filling up in Stallings off 485 (Idlewild Rd exit 49). The exit there. I overheard the attendant talking about about 11 gas stations he's trying to keep about 4000 gallons in each (stallings being one, the shell off indepdence near waxhaw-indian trail rd another). the stallings station maybe will get another shipment somtime early in the morning and they currently have about 2 hours or so left before running out. I think I was in line for about 30 min.

Ok I keep hearing you mention race fuel can only certain cars use it and can you switch back and can you fly over traffic? I know only certain stations have it but is it with rest of the gas or special place like Kerosene and does it have a special octane or have octane?

You can run race gas if you feel like payin gover $5 per gallon. That stuff is expensive as hell and won't do most cars a bit of good.

Well, you will be a little lighter and that might improve fuel economy. Not by much though.
