Give Highland Creek a look for sure. This is a very large planned development that is very well laid out and extremely nice. People there love it and the schools. It straddles two counties, Mecklenburg and Cabarrus, so you have two sets of schools to choose from when deciding on a house. Ask any realtor (there are a few here too!) and they can get you info on homes there so you can see what's available in your price range. Good luck!

a good website is www.carolinahome.com - you can search by area - choose union county, put in your price range and age of home and it will give you all of your options here

I second LM. Highland Creek is a great area. It's close to soooo much (recreational assets, shopping, restaurants, Reedy Creek Nature Preserve, I-85, ect). On the Cabarrus side, it feeds into a great school zone. Good luck.

Wesley Oaks, Demere, The Reserve, New Towne Village and Prescott in Union County just to name a few. If you'd like info on how to do a search send me a pm. I can give you some helpful website to check out. Good luck with your search.
