Hello everyone. I looked at the generic forums, but didn't really see any thing that would fit. I know we have some creative posters out there, so I thought I'd see if any on here had any ideas.

I've looked around online, but am looking for some more ideas. I'm hosting a lady-bug themed shower at my house in November. Any food, decorating, favor, game ideas?

Here are some things that came up online:
Little Ladybug Baby Shower Theme - Baby Shower Themes
LadyBug Shop
Ladybug Baby Shower Treats on Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/glorioustreats/2749962585/ - broken link)

I'm assuming for a baby shower? One of the funniest baby game ideas I've ever seen was the "poopy diaper game." The host gave every table a dirty diaper and made the table pass it around and smell and look at the diaper. Instead of poop it was a candy bar smushed up. We had to guess what kind of candy it was and whoever came up with it won a prize.

I'm sure I have a few others I'll have to think about it. That silly game always stands out in my mind! LOL

I once attended a baby shower where they had a doll and cloth diapers with old-fashioned safety pins. The person who can diaper a doll with cloth diapers and pins and come out the fastest and neatest wins! An older woman who knows how to use these diapers should be present to judge.

I went to a baby shower that had a really creative idea!

There were 18 guests and 18 greeting cards, one for the baby to open on each birthday, ages 1-18. Inside, you wrote a note about anything... how you know the baby's mom, what she's like, any advice for that particular age, etc. I thought that was a really neat idea and something that will last for the baby's entire childhood.

We did something similar to that at the last baby shower i hosted.....we did a scrapbook. Each page was for a different age and each person got a page to right on. We then added pictures to the pages from the shower.

Any crafty people out there have any ladybugs ideas. I've seent the stuff online, but would really like something "outside the box".

I guess what we did at the shower I attended was a variation of a popular theme.

Maybe you could do the scrapbook with the ladybug theme? I don't know the first thing about scrapbooking, but maybe you could find ladybug stationery and stickers to use. This could help the mom-to-be remember the theme of her shower.

Just a thought...

What are you doing for your decorations?
I make diaper cakes for a lot of people in this area.
If you go on line and look at them they are real easy to make and make a beautiful
center piece for the gift table and a very good gift.
If you need some help let me know and I will explain how I put them together and what I
put in them.

The big ladybug cake is good. Have everyone wear some kind of garden related party hat , Plenty of red and black balloons and maybe some ladybug looking fortune cookies with funny or stupid fortunes inside of each one . Red peppers stuffed with a black olive salad would be a nice treat too.
