Popeyes just opened in Greensboro in January (Pisgah Church Rd.), also have a Chik-fil-a and Bojangles a stones throw away ( I call it chicken corner)...only thing missing is a KFC. IMO, the Chicken is better at Popeyes (than Bojangles), plus Popeye's has red beans and rice. However, Bojangles serves breakfast and the biscuits are better. The dirty rice (Bojangles) is better than the cajun rice (to me).

To squibroll: As a franchise, Popeyes has more consistency with their chicken quality (than Bojangles), if you stumble upon the right Bojangles, their chicken is actually quite good.

You might be right, I mean the first time I tried it was at the main campus of CPCC since most of my classes were there... I remember almost chocking on the fries since they overdid it with the condiments and the chicken was just not to my taste. Soooo I gave up on it and since I had always taken the light rail to and from, Price's Chicken Coop caught my attention (Obviously since it was always packed) I thought hey, follow the people. The best decision I ever made!

Any recommendations on what to get? (Of course I know fried chicken, but not a fan of a boned piece on a sandwich which I heard they make...) fixins? I like white meat chicken better than dark...
Their food is pretty cheap, so I would recommend getting two boxes. Get one chicken box and also get one fish. I actually like the fish better than the chicken. As for the chicken, I'm partial to their wings, but you can't go wrong with anything they have.

As for Popeyes, I've always liked their chicken better than Bo'Jangles, but the last time I was in Atlanta, last Fall, I had Popeyes and I didn't like it that much. Wasn't what I remembered from the past, but maybe I just caught them on a bad day. Interesting they came back to Greensboro, they had a place there before.

Weve made the day trip form Concord to Winthrop several times, well worth it. Took my 10 year old for a walk around the campus, she had never been to a College before.

Price's is better chicken vs anything I've tried, but if I had to choose, I would still pick Popeyes. I like spice, and Price's doesnt offer it. I always get the gizzards, and will now have them add onions next time in that area.

If I was stuck with chains, I still think that KFC Original beats anything at Popeyes or Bojangles. That pressure fried chicken breaded with salt, pepper, msg & flour has no peer.
