I've heard that most of the bigger security companies all route their calls through one major call center. So in that respect, I'm not sure you're getting one service better than another. I guess the deciding factor would be cost.

No I don't work for them. I met with CPI and ADT and they were both really pushy. I had looked at all the previous threads about alarms on here prior to getting my alarm. After I made my decision I went back and let everyone know what I thought. I had just became a member to look up info about the alarm.

Default Has anyone heard of Vector Security?

Vector Security is the same one our sellers used for their house, and we've signed up with them.

when it comes to pushiness, CPI takes the cake. their price is no better or worse than any other company, but they wanted way too much for extra equipment ... and they wanted us to sign up for FIVE YEARS!! being that that they are local, what happens if I move inside of five years? dead in the water and a huge contract to pay off. no thank you.

it is who we use. The dealer was Power Home Technologies ... the #1 VECTOR security dealer in the USA according to their website and the 39th largest security co as well.

outside of addt'l equipment costing more (CPI), the reason we chose VECTOR and Power Home Technologies is b/c they are only a 3 yr commitment and if we move outside of NC, they can move us for free. CPI can't offer any of that. they don't even offer the entire state of NC!

this may be ugly, but the only thing "catchy" about CPI is their commercials ... which is why most of you signed up with them.
