Default Wells Fargo upstages Citi

Wells Fargo upstages Citi, will acquire Wachovia for $15 billion. I thought the Citi deal was done? Is this better for us Triangle Wachovia customers.

IMO its a better deal! Wells wants all of Wachovia business not just part of it like Citi wanted! Good for Wachovia and their customers! IMO the privat emarket willl work this out better than Govt throwing our money at it! Every so often a correction is a healthy thing to the markets! Sorry for the editoral but I have 700 Billion reasons to say it!!!

Thanks I did see that but the stupid admin moved my post from the local region page. I wanted to know local info about how it would affect a certain region.

You will send your mortgage payment addressed to Wells Fargo one day instead of Wachovia. Your actual mortgage was sold a long time ago at Wachovia. It is only being serviced by Wachovia now.

Checking accounts will eventually transfer over to the Wells Fargo platform. For the most part, the type of checking account you have may change in name... instead of a Crown Account it might be called something different.

From a customer service standpoint, I can only imagine that Wells Fargo's service is more similar to Wachovia than Citi's.
