Hello Everyone, I'm hoping to find out if there are successful Welfare to Work programs here in Charlotte. Basically programs that provide a sort of boot-camp training for those on public assistance. I'm interested in any and all forms of these types of programs (not for myself per se) but I'd like to get a feel for what's here, how effective it is, and if there is still a need for additional or new programs.
Please feel free to post to this thread or you can DM me.
There is a program that I am thinking is along those lines, working w/ CP for education . . . I will see what I can find out and come back and post any info.
Well, I hope it was some small help. I have seen a webpage some time in the past that had programs that CP offers to help women transitioning back into the work force - and I believe it is under some type of program that actually helps pay for tuition and day care. Can't find it now. However, the programs were for things in the medical field - coding, transcription, and office management. Wish I could locate that info but haven't. I do suggest that anyone looking for some help w/ education and needing financial assistance - call CPCC and see if they can direct to the right office that handles "back to work" programs - or "displaced worker programs."
Good luck!!!!
