Default Vacation - Then RETIREMENT!

Have talked my husband into skipping skiing for our vacation next year. I really want to go to race week next year. Am also thinking along the lines of retirement since we're about 5 or so years away. I want to check out the Lake Norman area for retirement and have convinced him to spend our time checking out the area. Am looking for a vacation home on the lake for a week(ish) timeframe. Don't need to sleep 6 or more, but want something nice, just the two of us. We plan to rent a pontoon for the week so will need a dock. Also want to be based in an area for convenient realtor time to look around. Any ideas?

You should be able to Google Lake Norman area rentals or vacation rentals and find some site that have them. As far as Pontoon Rentals depending where on Lake Norman you decide to stay there are a few mariner's. Look up Westport Mariner.

Good Luck!
