Nor'easters is the way we get our big snows for ths area. You will see often Snow heading west to east over the mountains but the Smokies side of the Appalachians absorb most of it so we might get a dusting to an inch or two.

I bought be some disc sleds last year really cheap due to spring time was coming...

I would love to do a suicide sled again which is take a big piece of plywood , drill a hole to put some rope on one end get about 6 to 8 people on it and the way you go..... probably into some dog doo.

I hope your predictions are wrong! I HATE SNOW! I moved here to get away from it! I had my fill of it for over 20 years "up north" and I thought I had escaped it.

When I see snow, I see problems: stuck cars, slip and falls, delayed flights, car accidents, broken bones, high heating bills, etc

Yes, its pretty..for about 5 minutes. Then reality sets in. For those who love it, sorry...I hope it doesnt happen. This year or any year while I live here!!!!!!!

Does anyone remember when was the last time Charlotte had a "White Christmas"? I'm going to be 56 in two weeks. Will I live long enough to make the next one?

I'm ready although I'm sure hubby isn't! Being from Mich orginally hubbie hates any kind of the "white-stuff"! Also he's sure isn't happy about the prospects of a higher propane bill! Oh to have a good old fireplace! What will be will be......I will be happy either way!

Well it looks like we should know here in just about 10 days! The Woolly Worm festival is just around the corner, and who knows better about this coming winter that the Woolly Worm !Woolly Worm.com | WoollyWorm.com

I have noticed acorns are quite plentiful this year and I always equate them with harsh winters.

Like most here, I say let it snow but spare me the power outages!!!

Ani my wife & I lost power for a week in the 2000 ice storm. I remember people fighting over batteries at Lowes. Something you new folks might like to know... Charlotte only plows the major roads & a few secondary roads. Most neighborhoods will either be snowed in or iced in.

Well, we moved here in Oct 2002 and in November, our power was off for 5 days, so this year . . . I bought a generator. I figure . . . about time for another storm.

Hope I am wrong!!!! But I am gonna be prepared . . . just in case.
