My dad called me this morning and said he heard on the news that "Charlotte was for sale". Wonder where he heard that?

You figured it out! That is what the CNN spot was about (essentially). Talk about Gloom and Doom.

They also said that Wachovia would have a big announcement today. If they did, I didn't hear about it. ???

The scenes they showed were of nice homes w/ For Sale signs out . . . some shots of kids in a school . . . some bank shots . . . some skyline . . . and lots of talk about how we have a gazillion houses for sale and everyone is out of work. Well, something close to that. I sat here in amazement.

I was rather astounded that a reporter had filed this non-report . . . I guess they sent someone here b/c of a supposed Wachovia announcement and so the reporter scratched around for a story. But wow. That was not much of a story. And I totally understand why your dad called and mentioned it . . .

Is this the same video below? It was on NBC last night. I know misery loves company, but come on. They’d be better off doing a hometown story on New York’s falling economy instead. That’s a much bigger story than what’s happening in little ole Charlotte…
