I gave up on the gas search this past weekend . . . had over 1/4 tank and figured - what the heck. Surely there will be more this week.

So DH went out yesterday and drove to SC and found gas . . . and cheaper than CLT prices, too.

I just hope the shipments keep coming. Paying a bit more is not the end of the world as long as we HAVE gas. However, seeing gas go over $4/gal is quite unnerving. Having it reach $3/gal impacted all of us . . . pretty difficult for me to believe how fast it spiked up. Just hard to fathom that.

I saw last night, headed out to the airport, that the price of regular at the Texaco up the street was $3.69 / gallon - just the other day it was $3.89, so that was a significant decline.

Dang - I can't believe there is still gas shortage in Charlotte still. You'd think they'd have the situation fixed by now. Hate to say this - but I paid $2.97 yesterday in the KC area for gas - and I know it is cheaper on the Missouri side.

Today's oil prices went down for about $2.00. I hope, this price decline it'll reflect soon in our city gas's stations . Untill then I guess I have to keep pumping gas in SC

Well aren't we special.....
We filled the car over the weekend for $3.79. The truck still has over half a tank from the fill up when this all started right after the hurricane.

That can't be right... the Charlotte Observer seems so skewed on a great many things. I can barely read it now.

Up and down the road where I live in SW Charlotte there isn't a single gas station charging over $3.70 as of yesterday.
