Are there and has anyone used a private waiting lounge at the airport?
Just rec'd a card from my favorite bank that entitles one to access to any lounge in NA. My brother who also got one used it at LGA this week for free coffee, juice, papers, TV and lounge chair. Would like to know about anyone's experience at CLT.
TIA
JE

We use the US Airways one at Clt Douglas a bit. It's ok and you do get free drinks and snacks. My husband is frequent user so I normally use it when I am with him when he has an extra pass. I have also taken the kids in there. We like to use them at Philly too because our long haul flights land there and there is always a long wait for our plane back to Charlotte so it's nice to be able to sit in a comfy seat waiting for the next connection.

When I used to travel all the time my company provided me with a USAirways Club membership. The lounges are nice if you have a good bit of time to kill between flights - nice cushy chairs, workspaces if you want to work, free soda, coffee, water and little snacks. Usually have a couple of TVs throughout the place.

Also, the attendants who work behind the desks can be helpful if you have any questions or issues. On the rare occasions when I would have a flight cancelled, I would go to the club to see about getting rebooked as opposed to waiting in the usually much longer lines at the gate.

I don't travel like I used to, so this info is about two years old, but the CLT lounges were like my home away from home when I lived in Baltimore as I primarily flew US Scare so I connected through CLT a lot. CLT has two US Air lounges. The one down the B terminal is smaller. The one going down towards C terminal is much bigger - they also have a cash bar and used to also have a separate room that you could smoke in (I'm not sure that is still the case). If you have time to kill before a flight, they are a nice little place to hang out.
