The thing that kills me is that most of you claim to be coming here for better quality of life, but once some of you get here, you don't do anything to help us maintain that quality of life.

If WE are not maintaining YOUR quality of life, then what are WE doing to do it?

We invite and welcome with open arms those who can enrich our community, those who want to be one of us.

What then did you mean by this post. If I don't want to be one of YOU, then I am not invited?

that may be some crazy "beltway" mentality

Not sure how YOU could even dispute this one. YOU used the word crazy to describe a mentality different than YOUR own.

Ok, so let's assume that I decide to leave Massivetwosh*ts and I come to Charlotte. What can I do to help create the quality of life you're assuming will be ruined when I come? (I'm being fresh - btw)

LOL, well, I've already stated one of the most important things...try to live as near to your job as you can afford to live. People here are making conscious efforts to do that to cut down on our traffic congestion. They are also being very conscious about living near to public transportation so that they can utilize it and avoid putting one more car on the road.

Another thing that can be done is to get involved! Find an organization that you wish to support and volunteer. Besides being a great way to meet new people in a new city, you can feel good about helping others in need.

Okie dokie. I can certainly do that. I encourage my current employees to take advantage of car pooling, etc. up here so I'm definitely willing to work with you there.

So far so good!

Default A suggestion

I'm getting dizzy watching my friend Loves getting hit like a tennis ball by two posters I feel really don't want expert advise that is given by the people that post on this forum board.

So, my suggestion is:Why don't the OP from Mass. and Mr. BS hook up. Mr. BS that likes to drive all over the friggen city at $4 bux a gallon can drive OP all around a city looking for employment so that she doesn't have to go on the dole.In return for the driving OP can feed Mr. BS overinflated ego about knowing many Charlatain, Charlalas, Charlakins, Charlees or any others names he would like to use. He'll be happy, OP will be happy, and we'll be very happy.

Sheeesh, you two talk so fast you could be tap dancers.

Carry on I just heard my pop corn popping. I guess it's ready.

Where on here are you getting the idea that I don't want expert advice? I'm the one that was chastized for *thinking* of coming to Charlotte and then was *educated* that my M*sshole ways obviously weren't going to work in your area.......

I like butter on my popcorn, please. Oh and salt.
