I miss being part of the Doom and Gloom club... perfect thread for me.

I hope everyone buckles up tight for the bumpy ride ahead - even the infamous Charlotte non-bubble so vehemently defended on this board won't be immune. I think back to the threads a year ago where CJack and I were on an island being peppered by realtors for proclaiming that all the signs pointed to exactly what's happening now. I'm sorry, but I have to smile thinking about quotes like "it's going to take off right after the new year, better buy buy buy now!". I did a quick scan and surprised I didn't see more of the same proclaiming the same thing for after this next new year. =P

Even though I'm back in NY, I think of the nice folks who are the regulars here and wish you all the best. <3

Be smart, be safe... and don't blame the transplants for turning NC blue!

Yeah, the good ole days of having our crystal ball clear.....LOL

Trust me, there are NO feel good stories anymore here. 99% of the threads are "where can I look to get a job/how do I earn money?", and "You yankees suck".....

The regulars know I'm just tweaking...there really is a lot of good information on this site though....

Also, 3 things in life are guaranteed.....

1. Death
2. Taxes
3. A realtor always saying "its a great time to buy!"

Did Addie's Jamaican Cuisine in NoDa go under? I've been over there twice now, and it's been shut up with no hours posted.

LMAO

Oh and the car dealership prices are too low to advertise.

All joking aside there is a wealth of information on here you just have to read several and you can soon discover whom to pay attention to.

You can try Caribbean Hut in University and there's another one in University that I can't think of that serves Jamaican/West Indian food...

I went to a bankruptcy auction in Huntersville today for a landscaping business, it was pretty sad. The office looked about like they walked out the door and left most everything. Employee records were in boxes, food in the cooler. There were quite a few people there, many folks got great deals and some not so good. This appeared to be a once thirving and business at one time.

Rode by Backyard Burgers in Ballantyne today. Orange cones blocking the parking lot and the dreaded white sign on the door. Looks like they finally bit the dust. I liked some of their offerings but they never seemed busy.

The one in Matthews closed a while back, and the sign out front says to try their Ballantyne location. Guess they'll need to change that now.
